Module Introduction

Welcome to the Yale Interprofessional Palliative Care Educational Program. This module has 2 components:

  1. An interactive computer based clinical case.
  2. A “live” workshop where you will interact and learn with student and faculty colleagues from Chaplaincy, Medicine, Nursing, Physician Associate, and Social Work.

You will work through a case of a woman with metastatic breast cancer. Along the way, you will be asked to reflect on aspects of the case, type in your thoughts and responses, and then print them out at the end to bring with you to the conference.

References are provided to supplement material in the program. Words that may need definition will have a highlighted “roll-over” glossary.

*Please note: The cases presented in this online module and during the workshop are not meant to stereotype or exclude individuals based on of their social identities, such as age, gender, race, ethnicity, culture or language, and/or physical, economic, or social disadvantages. This information presented is provided for the sole purpose of training only.
